Nathan Galloway
Nathan works in the National Park Service Biological Resources Division (BRD), where he applies the tools of molecular biology and ecological modeling to examine the impacts of disease and human activity on wildlife populations and the communities they inhabit. At BRD, they conduct applied research and consult with park units to inform management of park resources.
His PhD in Ecology at Colorado State University focused on chronic wasting disease (CWD) in local mule deer. CWD now makes up a large part of his professional portfolio, in both deer and elk. Nathan also works on several NPS bighorn projects, consulting on both research and management. Nathan prefers to spend his free time sleeping in the dirt, or at least doing something outside. At this phase in his life, most of his adventures are local to Northern Colorado and he loves getting to know the area around Fort Collins after living there for several years. |
